Valve Regulated Lead Acid Battery

AGM/GEL VRLA (Absorbent glass mat-valve regulated lead acid) battery, the third generation lead battery, is the battery having the characteristics of reducing gases of hydrogen and oxygen generated in the battery again into the interior without discharging to the exterior and combining again with the electrolyte.

The volume is reduced compared to the existing battery since the loss of electrolyte does not occur because less electrolyte is used in AGM VRLA battery and it is possible to make free arrangement such as laying on the side of inclining due to the complete airtight type, where moisture absorption into partition membrane of electrolyte and pressure valve are adopted.

It has the characteristics that internal resistance is little and the electric reaction is quick.

Characteristics of AGM/GEL VRLA battery

  • The capacity is improved by 106%, CCA (Cold Cranking Ampere) by 126%, and the lifespan by 160~300% compared to the general battery of flooded type.
  • Optimum performance is realized by designing grid, Active material ratio, case and etc. through high-tech simulation equipment
  • Using the special reinforced PP resin of high density and high strength in the casing and the cover minimizes thermal deformation.
  • Failure of pressure adjustment is prevented by using special valve-plug even in case of thermal deformation of resin of the cover.
  • The lifespan and the characteristics of charge and discharge are improved by using the low resistance partition membrane.
  • The expected lifespan is guaranteed since the cell balance is maintained by applying the valve system for each cell.
